Privacy Policy
Effective September 18, 2026. Applies to the E2U Freight Driver, Broker and Fleet apps and the E2U Freight website.
E2U Essentials Marketplace LLC ("E2U", "we") operates E2U Freight, a technology marketplace and load board. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account: name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed), role (driver, broker, fleet, carrier, factoring).
- Business and authority: company name, USDOT and MC numbers, state credentials, insurance and bond details, and the public FMCSA records we look up for those numbers.
- Documents you upload: licenses, insurance certificates, authority letters, bills of lading and proof of delivery. These are stored privately and shown only to people with a need to see them.
- Equipment and capacity: truck type, payload, pallets, liftgate, reefer range, home base and preferred lanes.
- Location (drivers only): (1) while you are online, your approximate position so we can show nearby loads and estimate time to pickup; (2) live load tracking, only after you start it for a load you are assigned to, as described below. We do not collect location when you are offline and not tracking a load.
- Load activity: loads posted, interest, assignments, status updates and exceptions (detention, layover and similar).
- Payments: subscription and Match Confirmation Fee records. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by E2U; we keep only the card brand and last four digits.
- Device and usage: push notification token, app version, IP address, and security logs.
How we use it
- To run the marketplace: matching loads to available capacity, showing loads, and connecting carriers and owner-operators after both confirm interest.
- To verify accounts and reduce fraud, including automated checks such as name and authority mismatches and duplicate documents.
- To process payments, send receipts and notifications, and provide support.
- To keep records required by law, resolve disputes and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Live load tracking
- When: only after the driver starts location sharing for a specific load they are assigned to and agrees on screen. Signing in, going online, browsing loads or switching workspace never starts it.
- When it stops: automatically when the load is delivered, completed, cancelled or reassigned, when the driver's seat with a fleet ends, or when the driver stops it. The driver can stop it at any time; status updates still work without it.
- What: GPS position, heading, speed, accuracy and time from the driver's phone. The apps skip repeated points from a parked truck.
- Who can see it: the driver; the fleet or carrier the load was assigned through (owner, admins and the dispatcher responsible for that truck); an outside dispatcher only if their active arrangement booked that load; the broker or shipper who posted the load, only while it is being tracked; and E2U support staff, whose views are logged. No one else, and there is no public map of drivers.
- On the phone: the Driver app shows that sharing is on. Android shows a notification and iPhone shows the location indicator while it runs. In a web browser, sharing works only while the page is open.
- Retention: the latest position is replaced with each update. A thinned trail (about one point every couple of minutes) is kept for 30 days for delivery questions and then deleted. Records of when sharing started and stopped are kept for about 13 months.
- A gap in tracking is shown as "tracking interrupted", which usually means weak signal or a phone that is off. It is not treated as evidence of anything.
Work opportunities and company recruitment
- What you choose to share: what work you are open to (courier, freight driver, dispatcher), your state, city or general area and how far you will travel, your vehicle or equipment type, whether you have your own vehicle, availability, experience, and an optional short summary.
- Who sees it: nobody, unless you tick "Let relevant companies find me and contact me about work opportunities." Then staff of companies E2U has verified, who hold a recruitment permission at their company, see your first name and last initial and the fields above, marked as self-reported. They never see your phone, email, street address, ID, banking or tax details, or documents through recruitment. You can share contact details or specific documents with one company later, and take them back.
- Alerts to companies: when you match what a company is looking for, its recruitment staff get one alert in their E2U inbox (and a push notification if they allowed it). The alert does not contain your contact details. We never send text messages about recruitment.
- Records: we keep a record of which company staff member viewed, contacted or changed the status of a recruitment record, so misuse can be investigated. If you stop sharing, you disappear from new searches; existing conversations stay until closed. If you delete your account, your recruitment profile is deleted with it.
Identity masking and sharing
Driver and carrier contact details stay hidden until both parties confirm the match and the Match Confirmation Fees are paid. Brokers see the driver or carrier details needed to move a load they posted. We share information with service providers that work for us (hosting, Stripe for payments, Google Firebase for notifications, Google Workspace for internal reporting, email and SMS providers), with the FMCSA when we look up public authority records, and when the law requires it.
Retention
Live tracking trails are deleted after 30 days (see above). We keep account information while your account is open. When you delete your account we remove your profile from the marketplace and anonymize your sign-in details. We keep payment, lease, load and audit records for up to seven years where needed for tax, legal and dispute purposes.
Your choices
- Update your profile in the app. Turn location and notifications on or off in your device settings. Stop live load tracking from the load screen at any time.
- Delete your account in the app (Settings) or at https://e2ufreight.com/account/delete.
- Ask for a copy or correction of your information by emailing support@e2ufreight.com. Residents of states with privacy laws (for example California) may have additional rights, and we honor those requests.
SMS
If you give us your phone number we may send transactional texts such as verification codes and load updates. We do not share your phone number or SMS consent with third parties for marketing. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. See the SMS Terms.
Security and children
We use encryption in transit, private document storage and access controls. E2U Freight is for businesses and adults 18 and older; we do not knowingly collect information from children.
